Scale Computing Wins Hyperconvergence Innovation of the Year

Scale Computing, a market leader in edge computing, virtualization, and hyperconverged solutions, today announced that the SDC Awards named the company winner of the 2022 Hyperconvergence Innovation of the Year for its work with ship management and marine services provider Northern Marine Group. Northern Marine deployed Scale Computing SC//HyperCore clusters to run their operations smoothly while at sea and realized immediate benefits from enhanced performance and simplified management.

“It’s an honor to win the 2022 SDC Award Hyperconvergence Innovation of the Year for our work with Northern Marine,” said Jeff Ready, CEO and Co-founder, Scale Computing. “Northern Marine partnered with us because they needed to upgrade existing deployed IT infrastructure onboard their vessels to maintain operations with minimal downtime, reduce exposure to expensive en-route repairs, and comply with regulatory requirements. As more and more IT leaders must run applications close to where the data is actually being used, they look to implement edge computing solutions like Scale Computing Platform to meet the complex and dynamic infrastructure demands that require 24×7 availability and full redundancy at the edge.”

The award recognizes single and multi-vendor solutions that deliver an architecture that tightly integrates compute, storage, networking, and virtualization resources for the end-user. Scale Computing Platform brings simplicity, high availability, and scalability together, replacing the existing infrastructure and running applications in a single, easy-to-manage edge computing platform. SC//HyperCore saves time and valuable resources because the software, servers, and storage are all in one fully-integrated platform. The same innovative software and simple user interface power a user’s infrastructure, regardless of their hardware configuration. Using patented HyperCore™ technology, the award-winning, self-healing platform identifies, reduces, and corrects problems in real-time.

The company also recently announced that the first Scale Computing Platform Summit will be held on February 15-16, 2023 at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV and is open to all Scale Computing customers, partners, and technology alliances.
