Swift received the gold award recognition in McKnight’s skilled nursing category
Swift Medical, an advanced digital health technology company focused on improving clinical and economic outcomes in chronic and acute wound care, has been named McKnight’s Gold Award Technology Partner of the Year in the award program’s skilled nursing category.
McKnight’s is a national media brand providing news, perspective and analysis for owners, operators and other leaders of seniors housing, independent living, assisted living, memory care and continuing care retirement and life plan communities. Its award program is a joint production of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Home Care.
“Each year, we are excited to see, recognize and share examples of how technology is being used in big and small ways to improve the lives of older adults and those who care for them,” said John O’Connor, McKnight’s Editorial Director.
The Swift Skin & Wound application brings AI-powered imaging and documentation capabilities to mobile devices in order to capture clinically calibrated, high-precision 3D images, measurements, and other clinical data. Swift’s technology has been adopted by over 20,000 clinical users across the continuum of care to improve the prevention, treatment, and management of wounds. Proven outcomes include:
- 34% reduction in pressure injury prevalence and patients are 24% less likely to be hospitalized due to a wound
- If hospitalized, patients are admitted for stays that are 62% shorter than they otherwise would be
- Patient’s wounds heal faster with a 35% reduction in average days to heal
“I’m so proud and honored to see Swift Skin and Wound prevail as the gold award winner in one of McKnight’s most competitive categories,” said Brian Litten, Swift Medical’s CEO. “Our AI-powered digital wound management platform continues to demonstrate its ability to improve the lives of both clinicians and patients whether they are receiving care in the hospital, at home, or any setting in between. Our hope is that more organizations and clinicians start to utilize our technology to revolutionize their wound care programs.”
The awards honor providers that convey how technology has improved care and operations in their organizations across three divisions: Skilled Nursing, Senior Living and Home Care. Nominations were judged by an external panel of industry experts.
