DirectDefense Appoints David Doyle as Head of vCISO Services

Security and privacy executive with tenure at global organizations TikTok, Apple and Hawaiian Airlines will lead and scale the company’s vCISO service offering

DirectDefense, a leading information security services company, today announced that David Doyle has joined the company to lead and scale its vCISO services. Doyle brings more than 30 years of experience establishing, scaling, assessing, and advising on cybersecurity and privacy programs. He has held corporate leadership positions at companies such as Apple, TikTok, Kaiser Permanente, Hawaiian Airlines, and Constellation Energy, as well as thought leadership roles at ASIS International, ISACA, and the Institute for Applied Network Security. In his role as Head of vCISO services, Doyle will spearhead the growth and development of DirectDefense’s vCISO service offerings, while also serving as a principal consultant and trusted advisor to clients.

Most recently, Doyle was a global privacy leader at TikTok and, prior to that, he served as a Business Information Security Officer with Kaiser Permanente and Apple. He has also served as the CISO for Hawaiian Airlines and Council Chairman at ASIS International. With a proven track record in security and privacy, Doyle brings unmatched expertise in building and scaling security operations. His extensive experience as a security leader coupled with his knowledge of compliance, governance and security programs will be instrumental in creating vCISO services aligned with customer needs.
