Aviatrix®, the cloud network security company, has significantly strengthened its leadership team with key appointments designed to accelerate market penetration and capitalize on the burgeoning cloud networking market. These strategic positions have set Aviatrix up for aggressive growth, focusing on targeted use cases with its sophisticated and robust cloud network security platform.
Ken Horner has joined Aviatrix as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), coming from leading technology companies including Cloudflare, Flexera, Splunk, HP, and Cisco. Horner brings extensive experience building and scaling go-to-market teams and has a proven track record of driving revenue growth exceeding $500 million, making him ideally suited to lead Aviatrix’s revenue generation efforts. Most recently at Cloudflare, Horner spearheaded nearly 100% year-over-year growth for two consecutive years in the enterprise segment. His expertise in defining scalable customer use cases for technologies like edge security, SD-WAN, and zero trust networking will translate directly to his mission at Aviatrix.
“The companies that appeal to me are revolutionary, not evolutionary. Analysts have recently reported that Aviatrix is that rare type of company – scoring extremely high on innovation and moving quickly. I’m thrilled to be joining the company to further scale its growth,” said Horner. “Having worked for Doug Merritt at Splunk, I know what he expects and drives with a customer first approach across the company. I look forward to working with our global go to market team and our partners to serve our customers in the increasingly complex and challenging landscape of managing a reliable, flexible, and secure-by-design cloud network.”
Further bolstering Aviatrix’s executive team, Scott Leatherman, former Chief of Staff for Doug Merritt, has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). An expert in cultivating new business growth through ecosystem alignment and product marketing excellence, Leatherman has successfully led marketing teams at companies including Veritone, Interana (acquired by Twitter), and SAP. His strategy and leadership has propelled his teams to outperform, fueling engagement and pipeline growth for his organizations.
“Aviatrix is solving the biggest challenges facing enterprises today, like IP exhaustion, Azure NAT gateway policy changes, and infrastructure modernization with zero trust cloud networking,” said Leatherman. “With a customer base of 500+ that includes 10% of the Fortune 500 and strong VAR, ISV, and CSP partners, Aviatrix is poised for sustained hyper growth.”
Rounding out the leadership team, former JFrog and AppDynamics executive Mark Anthony joins Aviatrix as Vice President of Global Business Value. Billtrust and Veritone alumnus Russ Gould has taken a position as Vice President of Growth Marketing. Denise Oliver, hailing from Lacework and Stripe, has strengthened the team as Vice President of Revenue Operations. Richard Vienna, an accomplished leader previously with Dataiku and Splunk, has been appointed as Global Vice President of Strategic Accounts. This new leadership reflects Aviatrix’s commitment to innovation and customer success.
“The addition of Ken Horner, Scott Leatherman, Mark Anthony, Russ Gould, Denise Oliver, and Richard Vienna to our team marks a significant milestone in Aviatrix’s evolution,” said Doug Merritt, CEO at Aviatrix. “Having worked with Ken and Scott at Splunk and SAP respectively, I know their combined expertise will be instrumental in executing our strategic vision and solidifying our position as a leader in cloud network security – particularly as we work closely with customers to solve their most pressing cloud network security problems, and with strategic channel partners to further penetrate the market.”
Aviatrix’s recent launch of a new Channel Partner Program underscores its commitment to collaborative growth within the cloud network security sector, further enhancing its market reach and expansion strategy. The program’s success, fueled by the expertise of the newly appointed leadership team, have positioned Aviatrix to capitalize on significant opportunities within the cloud network security space.
