NAVER D2SF Invests Again in AI Logistics Startup Techtaka
  • Third investment following initial seed round in 2020 and Series A in 2021; Techtaka is a strategic partner that has grown in close collaboration with NAVER
  • Operating NAVER’s “N Delivery” service, Techtaka has achieved fast, stable growth in Korea and is rapidly expanding its customer base in North America
  • NAVER D2SF continues to act as a launchpad for deep-tech startups aiming for global success

NAVER’s corporate venturing capital (CVC) NAVER D2SF announced that it has made a follow-on investment in Techtaka, a startup specializing in AI-powered integrated logistics. This marks NAVER D2SF’s third investment in the company, following its seed round in 2020 and Series A round in 2021, and further strengthens the strategic partnership between the two. With a U.S. subsidiary now operating logistics centers locally, Techtaka is accelerating its push into the North American market. NAVER D2SF plans to continue playing a key role as a bridge for Korean deep-tech startups expanding globally.

Techtaka is one of the most prominent examples of a startup that has scaled rapidly through close collaboration with NAVER. The company has developed and operates “ARGO,” a comprehensive logistics platform that integrates product, order, and delivery management for e-commerce businesses. Since receiving its first investment from NAVER D2SF shortly after its founding, Techtaka has joined the NAVER Fulfillment Alliance (NFA) and now operates the “N Delivery” service, achieving a 99.98% same-day shipment rate and 99.96% real-time inventory accuracy. In 2023, the company turned profitable at the contribution margin level, and in 2024, it saw significant growth—with total shipments tripling year-over-year, fulfillment orders quadrupling, and the number of client companies more than doubling.

Building on its strong foundation in Korea, Techtaka established a North American subsidiary last year and currently operates two logistics centers in the U.S. Amid a surge in reverse direct-to-consumer (D2C) demand—evidenced by Korean cosmetics topping Amazon’s beauty category for the first time—Techtaka is rapidly expanding its client base, particularly among K-beauty sellers. This year, the company plans to strengthen its presence by integrating with platforms such as Amazon FBA and TikTok Shop, while also targeting local U.S. sellers to further solidify its logistics footprint in North America.

NAVER D2SF expects this investment to further reinforce its role as a strategic investor that identifies early-stage technology startups, fosters collaboration with NAVER, and supports their expansion into global markets. During its 10th-anniversary media roundtable this past May, NAVER D2SF reiterated its commitment to discovering and supporting domestic tech startups, while expanding its role in helping them succeed internationally.

Yang Sang-hwan, Leader of NAVER D2SF, stated, “Techtaka has been a strategic partner of NAVER since its founding, and we expect it to continue its stable and rapid growth in the global logistics market.” He added, “Currently, 81% of startups backed by NAVER D2SF are actively expanding into global markets, and we will continue to support their next phase of growth.”
