In addition to the updated UI/UX, the release offers advanced performance, integrated billing, and the introduction of ReBAC
ZeroTier, one of the world’s leading software-defined networking and cybersecurity companies, has announced today the launch of the next-generation update to its dashboard, ZeroTier Central, for its flagship platform, ZeroTier One. This release introduces a completely streamlined user interface, enhanced user experience, and a modernized backend architecture designed to make network management faster, simpler, and more powerful.
“With this ZeroTier Central release, we’re redefining what intuitive, powerful network management can be,” said Andrew Gault, ZeroTier CEO. “As discussed during our May webinar, our vision is to empower our users with simple, secure, resilient network connections, anywhere, at scale. This release executes on that vision and makes network management faster, easier, and more intuitive than ever before.”
The new ZeroTier Central features a simplified onboarding flow that integrates account creation, GDPR acceptance, and Terms of Service into a single seamless process. Users joining independently are automatically provisioned as organization owners with full administrative control immediately.
Navigation has been re-imagined for faster, more seamless access to networks, devices, and settings. Key actions are now prominently displayed, reducing clutter and cutting down the time it takes for users to manage their deployments. New performance tracking features capture core analytic and usage metrics, helping the support team continuously fine-tune the ZeroTier experience. Future updates will extend this functionality, offering users insight into how their networks perform, along with providing recommendations to optimize connectivity and efficiency.
With the new release also comes the introduction of ZeroTier’s updated visual identity, reflecting the continued evolution as a platform focused on clarity, accessibility, and ease of use. The refreshed design language across Central delivers a cleaner, more cohesive interface and echoes the updated look on ZeroTier’s newly launched website.
The new Central release also introduces a modernized backend architecture anchored by new ZeroTier One controllers, which streamline member admission, certificate issuance, and configuration management. The resulting improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability enable smoother peer discovery, faster provisioning, and more consistent connectivity across global deployments.
Additionally, the ZeroTier Central launch introduces the initial building blocks of ZeroTier’s new Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC) model. This foundational architecture paves the way for future support of hierarchical permissions, contextual access, and policy-based control, empowering large enterprises to manage network access with greater precision and transparency.
Billing and account management are now built directly into the new Central interface. With this update, users can update payment methods, modify subscription plans, and view invoices seamlessly.
