KnowBe4 Expands Public Sector Presence With New Arlington, Virginia Office

New DMV hub reinforces commitment to public sector customers amid rising threats from AI-driven cybercrime, deepfakes and misinformation

KnowBe4, the world-renowned platform that comprehensively addresses human and agentic AI risk management, today announced the opening of a new office in Arlington, Virginia, expanding its footprint in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia (DMV) region. The new location underscores KnowBe4’s continued investment in the public sector and its commitment to helping organizations address human risk management, AI-enabled threats and evolving national security challenges.

KnowBe4 will hold an office opening celebration at its newest office location today. The event will include remarks by distinguished VIP guest, Senator Mark R. Warner.

The Arlington office will serve as a strategic hub for KnowBe4’s leadership, customer engagement and partner collaboration, strengthening relationships with federal, state and local agencies, as well as the broader government technology ecosystem. The area will continue to be a major hiring focus for customer-facing roles.

“Cybersecurity is a national security imperative, and humans are the most important layer of defense,” said Bryan Palma, president and CEO of KnowBe4. “By expanding in Arlington, we are working side-by-side with federal agencies, local governments, and educational institutions to protect humans and AI agents. Our expansion also allows us to recruit the area’s best and brightest talent to outpace AI-driven threats and secure the future of our most critical public services.”

KnowBe4’s expansion in the DMV region reflects the company’s deep cybersecurity expertise and leadership across government, industry and academia. Palma brings decades of experience in national security and cyber policy, including service on the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC), the U.S. Secret Service, and board involvement with the Duke University Cybersecurity Industry Advisory Board.

“KnowBe4’s strategic decision to expand its offices into Arlington, VA is a testament to the enduring strength of Arlington as a key destination for companies seeking top talent and a welcoming business climate,” said Kate Ange, acting director of Arlington Economic Development. “KnowBe4 will benefit from a unique and thriving innovation ecosystem of federal cybersecurity policymakers and thought leaders working collaboratively with private enterprises and research institutions, all in Arlington.”

The Arlington office launch comes amid heightened concern around artificial intelligence, deepfakes and misinformation—threats that increasingly target public institutions, elections and critical infrastructure. KnowBe4 helps organizations prepare both humans and AI agents to recognize, respond to and mitigate these risks, supporting a more trusted and resilient workforce.
