ConnectiveRx Acquires Rx Savings Assistant® from Medicom Digital

In-EHR software brings patient savings offers to health systems and hospitals and establishes ConnectiveRx’s EHR Network as the largest aggregator in the industry

ConnectiveRx, a leading provider of software-enabled patient support and access solutions for specialty and branded medications, announced today it has acquired Rx Savings Assistant® from Medicom Digital. This software automatically finds prescription savings offers and embeds them into qualifying patient records where healthcare providers see the offers inside their EHR (electronic health record) workflow and deliver them to patients directly. Top tier health systems and hospitals across the US, including those that are integrated with Epic EHR systems, rely on Rx Savings Assistant for patient support.

With this acquisition, Rx Savings Assistant becomes part of ConnectiveRx’s EHR Network, which reaches inpatient and outpatient settings (physician offices, ambulatory health clinics, and hospital systems) with ScriptGuide® prescription savings coupons and other affordability-related offers at the point of care. As the largest EHR network aggregator, ConnectiveRx has the industry’s most expansive prescriber reach—supporting 720,000 healthcare providers and their patients.

“Nearly 43 million patients every year are discharged from health systems that exclusively leverage the tool for prescription savings to patients,” noted ConnectiveRx CEO Jim Corrigan. “This EHR plug-in is an easy-to-adopt integration for hospital or health system IT divisions and one that greatly benefits patients, providers and the relationship between the two. Dozens of prominent healthcare brands already recognize the benefits of this tool and we’re eager to bring it to many more.”

“To date, ConnectiveRx has built a powerful network allowing prescribers to connect patients with prescription savings offers that often make it possible to start critical medications,” noted Medicom Digital CEO and co-founder Barb Goergen. “Rx Savings Assistant is a strong fit for the ConnectiveRx portfolio and under their stewardship will expand to benefit an ever-increasing number of patients.”

In addition to a long-standing relationship with Dx Web, ConnectiveRx announced partnerships with Veradigm and Athena Health to exclusively deliver e-coupon and affordability messaging. The acquisition of the Rx Savings Assistant distribution channel marks the continued expansion of the Company’s EHR network. For more information, please visit www.ConnectiveRx.com.
