Agamon Health Accelerates Expansion into Community Cancer Market

Announces partnerships with several OnCare Alliance Members to automate chart prep and patient navigation.

Agamon Health, a healthcare technology company that uses AI and workflow automation to close patient care gaps, announces its rapid expansion into the community cancer market with three new customer partnerships. These organizations are Highlands Oncology, Oregon Oncology Specialists (OOS), and Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute (OCSRI). This growth builds on a previously announced partnership with New York Cancer & Blood Specialists.

“Highlands is excited about the opportunity to improve patient care and reduce gaps in efficiency through our partnership with Agamon Health,” notes Jeff  Hunnicutt, CEO of Highlands Oncology. He continues, “Utilizing their innovative AI platform will undoubtedly assist our practice in continuing our efforts toward building a world-class care model.”

All three organizations are members of the OnCare Alliance. They will use the Agamon Health Coordinate Platform to automate chart prep and patient navigation workflows to increase medical assistant efficiency and eliminate gaps in oncologists’ schedules.

“We’re looking forward to adopting AI tools that make a meaningful difference for our providers, our workflows, and ultimately, the way we take care of our patients,” says Mel Davies, Chief Financial & Information Officer at OOS. “Agamon Health’s chart prep automation will help us improve efficiency and continue delivering the high-quality care our communities rely on.”

Highlands Oncology, OOS, and OCSRI are all focused on bringing high-quality cancer care closer to patients, yet each organization provides a slightly different set of clinical services and has varying patient follow-up, nurse navigation, and chart prep needs. However, they all realize that automating these manual processes will have significant operational, clinical, and financial benefits.

The Agamon Health Coordinate Platform will enable these organizations to achieve these goals by:

  1. Identifying patients in their EHR with gaps in their care by using advanced AI to analyze clinical documents.
  2. Automating the tracking and communication with internal and external referring providers and their patients.
  3. Improving early diagnosis and care coordination, and ensure that prescribed follow-up care occurs per plan.

Maxwell Thorsbakken, Chief Officer at OCSRI chimes in, “Partnering with Agamon Health is essential for enhancing patient outcomes. Improving follow-ups for imaging is critical, and streamlining the chart preparation process will further support our commitment to delivering exceptional care.”

Agamon Health will exhibit at the upcoming Community Oncology Conference in Booth #708. Attendees are invited to learn how AI-powered imaging follow-up, patient navigation, and chart prep automation can benefit them. Schedule a demo here.

“Our expansion into clinical areas that utilize radiology services has taught us that gaps in follow-up care are common and exist for varying reasons. These include patient navigation in pathology, radiation and surgical oncology, labs, and subspeciality referrals from urology and pulmonology,” states Michal Meiri, Agamon Health Co-Founder and CEO. “Our rapid success helping community cancer centers reaffirms this need.”
