AHA selects CI Security for Managed Detection & Response

CI Security®, the company behind Critical Insight Managed Detection and Response (MDR), specializing in protecting the networks of critical infrastructure, essential organizations, and midmarket companies from cyberattacks, today announced that the American Hospital Association (AHA) selected CI as the national organization’s “Preferred Cybersecurity Provider” for Managed Detection Response for hospitals and healthcare networks. The AHA also selected CI as the “Preferred Cybersecurity Provider” for a package of services called the Critical Insight Healthcare Security Program including MDR, a HIPAA Security Risk Assessment, and Continuous Vulnerability Identification with expert support.

The AHA and CI Security have established this new trusted provider relationship to lead the charge in protecting and defending hospitals and healthcare systems from cybercriminals. Nefarious actors have been targeting and exploiting the nation’s frontline hospital and healthcare workers who, throughout the pandemic, have saved countless lives despite despicable interference from cyberattacks.

With this newly formed initiative, CI Security’s Critical Insight cybersecurity program has been chosen as one of the first-ever preferred solutions recognized by the AHA. The AHA’s Senior Advisor for Cybersecurity and Risk, John Riggi, created the AHA Preferred Cybersecurity Provider to meet the demands of patient-focused organizations seeking advice when choosing their security vendors.

“Closely aligned with the AHA’s mission and vision, CI Security is fully committed to helping the AHA and their members advance health in this country by protecting and defending live-saving, life-sustaining services with our healthcare cybersecurity solutions,” said Garrett Silver, CEO of CI Security. “We’re honored that CI Security’s request for proposal (RFP) response was handpicked by Riggi and his team in their very first round of preferred providers after vetting providers across the nation and evaluating their references.”

“When I retired from the FBI and came to the AHA, my goal was to help hospitals fight cybercriminals and nation state adversaries. With the help of the trusted providers in this new program, I believe hospitals can reduce the risk of a disruptive cyberattack and stay focused on job 1 – providing patient care and saving lives,” said John Riggi, Senior Advisor for Cybersecurity and Risk at the AHA. “CI Security has been selected as the AHA’s best and most appropriate solution provider for their selected services and we can confidently recommend that our healthcare networks nationwide can rely on CI Security’s solutions to support their never ending efforts to achieve utmost security.”

CI Security’s Healthcare Cyber-Package has passed the AHA evaluation and will be offering the following services to hospitals:

  • HIPAA Security Risk Assessment
  • Continuous Vulnerability Scanning
  • 24/7/365 MDR for physical networks, endpoint, O365, and cloud networks including AWS and Azure.

CI Security will hold a joint webinar with the AHA in the coming months. Organizations interested in more information about CI’s services can go here: https://cybersecurity.ci.security/american-hospital-association-critical-insight-healthcare-security-program.
