AtScale, the leader in governed semantic layer technology for enterprise AI and analytics, today announced the appointments of Luis Maldonado as Chief Product Officer and Amy Miller as Vice President of Customer Success. The leadership expansion follows AtScale’s recently closed strategic equity investment round led by Snowflake Ventures and marks the next phase of growth as the company scales to meet accelerating enterprise demand for AI-ready data infrastructure.
As enterprises move from AI experimentation to production deployment, governed business context, performance optimization, and cost control are becoming foundational requirements. AtScale’s semantic layer provides the trusted, reusable business logic that powers AI agents, analytical applications, and BI tools across modern cloud data platforms.
Luis Maldonado Appointed Chief Product Officer
Maldonado brings more than 30 years of experience building and scaling enterprise software products. Over the past 15 years, he has focused on data and analytics platforms, delivering solutions across data engineering, data lakes and warehousing, and security analytics.
Most recently, Maldonado served as Vice President of Product at dbt Labs. Previously, he held product leadership roles at Amazon Web Services, Sqrrl Data (acquired by AWS), and Akamai Technologies.
“Luis brings deep product leadership at a time when enterprises are moving from AI experimentation to AI infrastructure,” said Chris Lynch, CEO at AtScale. “Building durable, governed systems that scale takes experience and discipline. Luis has spent his career delivering enterprise platforms that meet that standard. That’s exactly where AtScale is headed.”
Maldonado will lead AtScale’s global product strategy and roadmap, accelerating innovation across semantic modeling, performance optimization, and AI integration.
“AtScale sits at a critical intersection of data, governance, and AI,” said Maldonado. “AI systems require trusted, consistent business logic to operate reliably at scale. I’m excited to lead our product strategy as we continue building the semantic foundation enterprises need to drive analytics, control costs, and deploy AI with confidence.”
Amy Miller Appointed Vice President of Customer Success
Amy Miller joins AtScale with more than 20 years of experience leading global customer success and enterprise data platform organizations. She has built and scaled teams across customer success, technical services, and support functions focused on delivering measurable outcomes in complex analytics environments.
Most recently, Miller held senior leadership roles at Amazon Web Services, where she led Customer Success and Database Engineering teams supporting services including Amazon Redshift and Amazon Aurora. She worked closely with enterprise customers to operationalize large-scale data platforms and drive production adoption.
Prior to AWS, Miller served as Vice President of Customer Success for the Vertica Analytics Data Platform at Micro Focus, leading global customer-facing and services organizations. She previously held leadership roles at Vertica Systems and Hewlett-Packard, and began her career in enterprise technical support and engineering at Oracle.
“Amy’s track record of building customer-centric organizations at global scale makes her an exceptional addition to our leadership team,” said Chris Lynch, CEO, at AtScale. “As enterprises increasingly rely on governed semantic layers to power AI initiatives and analytics, delivering consistent, production-ready outcomes for our customers is critical. Amy brings the operational rigor and leadership to help us scale that impact.”
Miller will lead AtScale’s global customer success organization, focused on accelerating adoption and ensuring enterprises realize measurable value as they operationalize governed semantics across AI and analytics workloads.
“I’m excited to join AtScale at such a pivotal moment in the evolution of AI and enterprise analytics,” said Miller. “Customer success is about more than adoption, it’s about ensuring customers realize sustained, measurable value. AtScale plays a strategic role in modern data environments, and I look forward to partnering closely with our customers to help them operationalize AI and analytics with clarity and control.”
Building the Leadership Team for the AI Era
The appointments of Maldonado and Miller are part of a broader executive expansion following AtScale’s recent strategic equity financing round led by Snowflake Ventures. The company continues to strengthen its leadership bench to support global growth, enterprise adoption, and category leadership as semantic layers become foundational infrastructure for AI.
Additional executive announcements are expected in the coming months as AtScale continues investing in the team required to scale its next phase of growth.
