BotRx, a pioneer in using Moving Target Defence (MTD) against malicious bots and online fraud, today announced it is ramping up operations with the appointment of Peter Christou as its EVP of Global Sales to lead the company expansion into EMEA and other global markets. Christou, a cybersecurity veteran, has been appointed to drive global sales growth – expanding BotRx’s presence in new geographies, developing partnerships, and contributing to the company’s sales and business strategies.
BotRx’s approach to bot attack mitigation and detection is highly innovative. Using MTD, Artificial Intelligence (AI), behavioural analytics, and its patented Dynamic Transformation Technology, BotRx protects websites, mobile applications and IoT devices from automated bot attacks such as credential stuffing, account takeover, and content scraping.
“This is an exciting time for the company as we continue to grow and develop our international footprint. We are delighted to be welcoming industry expert Peter Christou onboard as the EVP of Global Sales,” said Ming Xu, co-founder and CEO of BotRx. “With his strong track record and expertise in driving international expansion, we look forward to establishing our technology in new markets.”
Christou joins BotRx with more than 25 years’ experience of helping innovative security start-ups and firms grow across EMEA, APAC and the USA. He has previously driven sales and marketing for companies including Accelops, Barac, Breach Security, Corporation, Gradient Technologies, NitroSecurity, Open Environment and Securonix.
“Malicious bot attacks are one of the most prolific threats facing organisations of every shape and size today,” said Peter Christou. “Our ability to solve the problem in a new and innovative way gives us tremendous growth opportunity across all markets. I’m thrilled to be joining the company to help steer this outreach across the EMEA region.”
Christou will also be spearheading the drive for more worldwide resellers of BotRx’s solutions, and most recently brought onboard Nanjgel (UAE), I(TS)² (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Armis Bilisim (Turkey), InfoGuardian (Republic of South Africa) and Orion Instruments Polska (Poland), who will now be able to offer their customers the first and only technology to use Moving Target Defense to protect against the threat of bad bots.
“We are delighted to be partnering with BotRx as a global reseller,” said Piotr Brogowski, CEO and VP of Orion Instruments Polska. “Its innovative bot detection and mitigation solution is the perfect addition to our services, affording our clients the highest level of protection against malicious bot attacks, and further enabling us to ensure the security and continuity of our clients’ business operations whilst giving them a competitive advantage with the latest technology.”
