Open-source API client reaches 4 million developers as API World recognizes its local-first, Git-native architecture built for the agent era

Unlike traditional API platforms that store collections in proprietary cloud workspaces, Bruno stores API collections as plain text files. This allows developers to version API collections alongside source code, collaborate using existing Git workflows, and enables AI coding assistants and autonomous agents to inspect, modify, and execute API workflows directly from the repository.
The API World Awards recognize excellence across the API industry, with winners selected by an independent panel of judges.
