Cohesity featured among CRN’s 100 Coolest Cloud Companies

Latest Recognition Follows the Company’s Expansion of its SaaS DMaaS Offerings

Cohesity, a leader in next-gen data management, today announced that CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Cohesity to its annual Cloud 100 list. This list honors the 100 Coolest Cloud Companies for 2022 across five key categories: infrastructure, monitoring and management, storage, software, and security.

CRN’s Coolest Cloud 100 list spotlights technology suppliers for their commitment to channel partners as well as their demonstrated innovation in cloud-based technology development. This list is the trusted resource for solution providers looking for technology vendors best positioned to support their cloud product and services needs.

This is the third time in a row Cohesity has received this designation. With native support for Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, Cohesity’s multicloud data platform runs on and integrates with the top cloud providers to provide data mobility across hybrid and multicloud environments. Meanwhile, the continued expansion of Cohesity Data Management as a Service (DMaaS) offerings give customers a choice of SaaS services that are managed by Cohesity and hosted on AWS. These offerings provide customers with another incredibly easy way to back up, protect, and manage stored data wherever it resides.

Recently, Cohesity announced Cohesity DataGovern and Cohesity FortKnox*. Cohesity DataGovern is a data security and governance service that uses AI/ML to automate the discovery of sensitive data and detect anomalous access and usage patterns that could indicate a cyberattack – key to thwarting bad actors trying to exfiltrate data. It also classifies sensitive data for compliance needs. Cohesity FortKnox is a service that allows customers to maintain an isolated copy of their data in a Cohesity-managed vault to improve data resiliency in the face of ransomware attacks. In addition to immutability, this offering is designed to give customers another means to thwart attackers trying to encrypt data.

Other DMaaS offerings generally available today include:

● Cohesity DataProtect delivered as a Service, which gives customers another easy way to back up and protect their on-premises and cloud-based data through a SaaS model with infrastructure managed by Cohesity.

● Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) extends the capabilities provided by Cohesity SiteContinuity and provides automated disaster recovery that minimizes application downtime and data loss. This offering helps businesses recover from ransomware attacks, speed data recovery, and advance business continuity.

“Our growing family of SaaS offerings are designed to help customers shift from CapEx to OpEx, reduce complexity, and increase their cyber resilience while protecting against sophisticated ransomware attacks,” said Matt Waxman, vice president of product management, Cohesity. “We are thrilled that, again, CRN recognizes the critical role Cohesity’s next-gen data management solutions play in helping customers embrace and benefit from the cloud, protect against cyber criminals, while also doing more with their data.”

“In today’s remote-facing enterprise environment, cloud services have become the critical component needed to build comprehensive and secure IT solutions,” said Blaine Raddon, CEO, The Channel Company. “The companies selected for this year’s Cloud 100 list have shown time and again that they support partners in the ever-evolving cloud computing business with state-of-the-art products and services. Our team commends those on this year’s list and looks forward to watching them drive positive change in the cloud domain throughout the year.”

To take advantage of Cohesity’s DMaaS offerings, customers simply sign up, protect, and connect. DMaaS offerings are now available in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

*These offerings are planned to be available in our fiscal year 2022.
