Contrast Security Appoints Scott O’Rourke as Chief Revenue Officer

Company poised to accelerate Application Detection and Response momentum with key executive appointment

Contrast Security, the runtime security company, today announced the appointment of Scott O’Rourke as Chief Revenue Officer. O’Rourke brings 25 years of success in technology and cybersecurity sales to the company. He will oversee global sales, sales operations and revenue expansion.

O’Rourke is the latest in a string of strategic hires to solidify Contrast Security’s leadership in the rapidly growing Application Detection and Response category.

“The application security space is changing faster than it has in the past 20 years and Contrast is at the forefront of that change. Scott’s strategic thinking and proven execution will be invaluable to our momentum as organizations evolve their ability to protect applications and APIs,” said Rick Fitz, Contrast Security CEO.

O’Rourke has a track record of success in multiple cybersecurity categories and technology companies. Most recently, as CRO at ZeroFox, he built a global revenue team and grew its SaaS revenue by over 360% over the last 5 years, taking it well above $100 Million in ARR. He also led the company through four successful acquisitions. Previously, O’Rourke held leadership positions at Trustwave, Interactions Corporation, Verizon and AT&T.

“Contrast Security has a reputation for innovation and has made some very exciting product moves in the past year. I’m thrilled to join as we grow the Application Detection and Response market. We will help more companies stop breaches by catching and stopping cyberattacks at the application layer,” said O’Rourke.
