CRN® Names Scale Computing in two lists

Scale Computing, a market leader in edge computing, virtualization and hyperconverged solutions, announced today that CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, has recognized Scale Computing on both its 2022 Software-Defined Data Center 50 and 2022 MES Matters – Key Vendors Serving the Midmarket lists.

“We are very proud of our strong reputation for delivering organizations resiliency for their IT operations. Whether in the traditional data center or at the edge, companies require simple, reliable, affordable, and easy-to-deploy infrastructure solutions. Our inclusion on both CRN’s Software-Defined Data Center 50 and MES Matters lists is a testament to our commitment to providing our partners and customers, from organizations of any size, with the most innovative and reliable solutions,” said Jeff Ready, CEO and Co-founder, Scale Computing.

CRN’s annual Software-Defined Data Center 50 list highlights technology vendors that partner with solution providers to provide innovative solutions for data center virtualization. Crafted by a panel of CRN editors, vendors are reviewed based on the effectiveness and strength of their technology portfolios, including effectiveness, visibility, business and sales influence, and their impact on the channel. Vendor reviews also include feedback gathered from solution providers in the industry. This year’s list spotlights vendors across four categories, including Software-Defined Infrastructure Providers, Software-Defined Cloud Providers, Software-Defined Data Center Operators, and Software-Defined Data Center Chip Vendors.

“CRN’s Software-Defined Data Center 50 list recognizes IT vendors that are transforming the capabilities of the software-defined data center market. From innovative newcomers to industry pillars, their work with top solution providers has proven their ability to foster scalable, easy-to-manage IT environments with efficient, agile, and cost-effective data center products and services,” said Blaine Raddon, CEO of The Channel Company. “Through their efforts, the bar for the modern data center is continually raised. We congratulate each honoree on their track record of developing best-in-class data center products and services.”

The CRN MES Matters list recognizes vendors that have proven themselves to be forward-thinking technology providers, offering solutions that support the growth and innovation of midmarket organizations. MES defines the midmarket as an organization with an annual revenue of $50M-$2B and/or 100-2500 total supported users/seats. Companies were selected due to their go-to-market strategy, how they serve the midmarket, and the strength of their midmarket product portfolios.

“The MES Matters list is designed to recognize key vendors that are invested in the growth and development of midmarket organizations which according to Harvard Business Review 3/21, represent only 3% of US businesses but are responsible for 33% of private sector GDP and employment. Technology is often designed and priced for either the consumer in mind, or the extreme opposite for the heavy enterprise in mind. Midmarket organizations are unique in the way they are structured and as a result their technology needs and requirements from features to pricing are very different from other market segments,” said Adam Dennison, VP Midsize Enterprise Services, The Channel Company. “The vendors and executives identified on this first-ever MES Matters list have shown a consistent commitment to help midmarket organizations succeed and thrive, they should be recognized and commended for their dedication to this important market segment.”

Scale Computing recently announced the launch of the industry’s first cloud-based fleet management solution for edge computing, as well as updates to SC//Platform. SC//Fleet Manager consolidates real-time conditions for a fleet of clusters, including storage and compute resources, allowing IT leaders to quickly identify areas of concern using a single pane of glass, scaling from 1 to over 50,000 clusters. SC//Platform brings simplicity, high availability, and scalability together, replacing the existing infrastructure and providing high availability for running VMs in a single, easy-to-manage platform. It brings faster time to value in the data center, in the distributed enterprise, and at the edge.
