AI Integration for Real-Time Message Processing
The Flow Designer in EMQX now supports integration with LLMs such as GPT-4, Claude, and local models. This allows users to analyze or summarize MQTT messages using natural language, without writing any code. It’s ideal for use cases like predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and intelligent alerting.
Natural Language SQL Rule Generator
The new AI Rule Generator converts plain English descriptions into valid SQL statements for the Rule Engine. For example, writing “Alert if any device reports a temperature above 90” produces a fully functional SQL rule in seconds. This simplifies rule creation and accelerates configuration for both technical and non-technical users.
NATS Protocol Gateway for Cross-System Messaging
EMQX 5.10 introduces native support for NATS, a lightweight messaging system used widely in microservices and cloud-native applications. The gateway enables bi-directional communication between MQTT and NATS clients, supporting wildcard topics, queue groups, and request/reply patterns. This makes it easier to unify diverse architectures under a single messaging backbone.
Expanded Data Sink Support for Analytics and Storage

EMQX now integrates with Amazon S3 Tables using the Apache Iceberg format, allowing scalable storage of MQTT data for long-term analysis. Users can query stored data using Amazon Athena, EMR, Redshift Spectrum, or tools like Trino, Presto, and Snowflake. - Apache Doris for Real-Time Analytics
The release also adds support for Apache Doris, a high-performance analytical database. Users can stream MQTT data into Doris for real-time SQL querying and dashboard visualization through platforms like Grafana, which are ideal for operational monitoring and business intelligence.
