Emtec unifies its businesses and will now be known as Bridgenext

New company unifies trusted brands Emtec, Emtec Digital, Wave6, and DEFINITION 6

Emtec, a global provider of digital consulting, product engineering, marketing, and technology services with more than 25 years of delivery excellence, announced today that it is unifying its businesses and will now be known as Bridgenext. It brings Emtec, Emtec Digital, Wave6 and DEFINITION 6 together into one unified company focused on empowering clients to achieve digital realization by moving past the hype of digital transformation to a future where they can achieve tangible outcomes from their tech investments.

In this next growth chapter, Bridgenext will be led by John Castleman who was recently appointed as Chief Executive Officer. An experienced executive leader of software and technology services businesses, Castleman joined Emtec’s Board of Directors in 2022. He brings a wealth of experience in digital services having previously served as CEO of high-growth firms Mobiquity and Alliance Global Services. He succeeds Sunil Misra, who has been leading Emtec since 2009 and helped secure a growth investment from private equity firm Kelso & Company in 2022. Misra will continue to serve Bridgenext as Chairman of the Board.

“Going to market as Bridgenext enables us to operate as a cohesive company rather than a group of highly impressive but independent organizations,” said Castleman, CEO of Bridgenext. “While our name is changing, our best-in-class offerings, shared DNA, and commitment to client success remain steadfast.”

“I look forward to continuing to work with John and the entire team to bring the Bridgenext vision to life. By uniting our capabilities more closely, Bridgenext can now further enhance the impact we can drive for our current and future clients,” said Misra.

Year over year, businesses have invested countless hours and millions of dollars on digital transformation by chasing the next digital trend. However, unlocking the true power of digital requires more than migrating to the cloud, analyzing customer analytics data or investing in generative AI – it necessitates doing all these things and more in a thoughtful, connected way that’s aligned with growth goals and business outcomes. This is why Bridgenext was formed and it will partner with its clients to: design thoughtful experiences that engage and delight customers, build flawless platforms and products that complement and enhance existing assets, and uncover new sources for value creation and increased customer loyalty across the entire ecosystem.

“As businesses navigate 2024 and beyond, they’ll be tasked with harnessing digital technology to meet increasingly ambitious objectives,” said Castleman. “We are now in the second half of digital transformation, and it is time to drive value and impact from the investments made in the first half. Companies can no longer afford to “try things” and invest without clear returns. They must usher in a new era of progress and success—an Era of Digital Realization.”
