Forcura Achieves HITRUST Risk-Based, 2-Year Certification

Forcura, a healthcare workflow management company, today announced that all of its technology platforms have earned Certified status for information security by HITRUST.

HITRUST Risk-based, 2-year (r2) Certified status demonstrates that Forcura’s entire platform has met key regulations and industry-defined requirements and is appropriately managing risk. This achievement places Forcura in an elite group of organizations worldwide that have earned this certification.

“Forcura is constantly aiming to improve our information security posture, which is paramount to achieving our goal of empowering our clients to deliver better patient care,” said Eric VanTassel, chief information security officer at Forcura. “The HITRUST certification is the most robust and comprehensive security framework available to the healthcare industry. It helps us provide tangible assurances for mitigating the constantly evolving risks that healthcare organizations, especially in the post-acute care sector, face in a more connected world.”

By including federal and state regulations, standards, and frameworks, and incorporating a risk-based approach, the HITRUST Assurance Program helps organizations address security and data protection challenges through a comprehensive and flexible framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls.

“The HITRUST Assurance Program is the most rigorous available, consisting of a multitude of quality assurance checks, both automated and manual,” said Bimal Sheth, Executive Vice President, Standards Development & Assurance Operations, HITRUST. “The fact that Forcura has achieved HITRUST Risk-based, 2-year Certification attests to the high quality of their information risk management and compliance program.”
