Fred Kneip of CyberGRX Named Finalist in EY Entrepreneur Awards

Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) today announced that Fred Kneip, CEO of CyberGRX, was named an Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2020 Mountain Desert Region Award finalist. Now in its 34th year, the Entrepreneur Of The Year program honors entrepreneurial business leaders whose ambitions deliver innovation, growth and prosperity as they build and sustain successful businesses that transform our world. Finalists were selected by a panel of independent judges comprised of previous award winners and other business leaders.

Award winners will be announced through a special virtual event on October 7, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. MDT and will join a lifelong community of esteemed Entrepreneur Of The Year alumni from around the world. This year, unstoppable entrepreneurs who have provided extraordinary support for their communities, employees and others during the COVID-19 crisis will also be recognized for their courage, resilience and ingenuity.

Entrepreneur Of The Year is one of the preeminent competitive award programs for entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies. The nominees are evaluated based on six criteria, including overcoming adversity; financial performance; societal impact and commitment to building a values-based company; innovation; and talent management. Since its launch, the program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in over 60 countries around the world.

“I am honored to be recognized as a Mountain Desert Region Entrepreneur of the Year Award finalist by Ernst & Young,” says Fred Kneip, CEO of CyberGRX. “Third-party breaches are one of the most common cyber threats today, yet many organizations are struggling to effectively manage it. My goal in starting CyberGRX was to help organizations overcome those threats by creating a modern and effective approach to managing third-party cyber risk. I am thrilled with the progress CyberGRX has made and look forward to a future where our Exchange platform will map the cybersecurity reputation of companies around the world and provide users with confidence in the cybersecurity of their third-party ecosystems.”

From day one, CyberGRX has been challenging the status quo by replacing traditional risk management approaches, like static risk assessments and security ratings, with a more dynamic and scalable approach – a global cyber risk exchange. The Exchange moves organizations from point in time assessments to dynamic risk data that can be easily shared among participating organizations. Today, CyberGRX’s platform features comprehensive, standardized risk data on thousands of third parties and provides advanced analytics to turn that data into actionable, risk reducing insights. In the past five years, the CyberGRX Exchange has grown to include over 80,000 companies and has incorporated innovative features such as auto inherent risk insights, the largest structured and standardized risk assessment data set, and residual risk insights that enable organizations to quickly identify and reduce cyber risks created by their third-party relationships.

Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards, to be announced in November during a virtual awards gala. The Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner will then move on to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Award in June 2021.
