Globalgig announced today that it has achieved System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II compliance and completed its audit report, confirming that its data management practices and organizational controls meet the highest standards as set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
The SOC 2 Type II audit, conducted by BARR Advisory, assessed and certified that Globalgig maintains effective internal controls over the design and operating effectiveness of its systems based on trust services criteria relevant to security, confidentiality and availability of its managed network services.

The SOC 2 report is an internal control report on the services provided by a service organization to its customers. It provides valuable information that existing and potential customers of the service organization need to assess and address the risks associated with an outsourced service.
