GrAI Matter Labs introduces GrAI VIP, Vision Inference Processor

GrAI Matter Labs, a pioneer of brain-inspired ultra-low latency computing, announced today that it would be introducing GrAI VIP, Vision Inference Processor, a full-stack AI system-on-chip platform, to partners and customers at CES 2021.

The GrAI VIP platform will drive a significant step in fast responsiveness for visual inference capabilities in robotics, industrial automation, AR/VR, and surveillance products and markets. GrAI Matter Labs’ proven NeuronFlow™ event-based dataflow compute technology in GrAI VIP enables industry-leading inference latency up-to 100x better than competing solutions.

“GrAI VIP will deliver significant performance improvements to industrial automation and revolutionize systems such as pick and place robots, cobots, and warehouse robots,” said Ingolf Held, CEO of GrAI Matter Labs. “GrAI Matter Labs already demonstrated GrAI One – the world’s first AI processor optimized for ultra-low latency and low power processing at the Edge in 2020. I am thrilled to deliver our next-generation chip platform to our partners and customers in 2021.”

“The vision market AI inferencing is the most active segment of the AI chip market. GML has developed several innovations that combined have produced an outstanding AI accelerator,” said Michael Azoff, Chief Analyst, Kisaco Research. “It is exploiting sparsity (spatial and temporal) in the input data that is the stand-out approach taken by GML.”

AI application developers looking for lightning-fast responses for their edge algorithms can now get early access to the GrAI VIP Vision Inference Processor platform and drive game-changing products in industrial automation, robotics, and more.
