Halcyon Appoints Kris Lamb as Chief Product Officer

Former Early Member of ISS X-Force (now IBM) Brings Unmatched Security Product Knowledge and Experience to Halcyon’s Leadership Team

Halcyon, the world’s first cyber resilience platform, today announced the appointment of Kris Lamb as Chief Product Officer. In this role, Lamb will lead the product development and engineering teams to further enhance the Halcyon Anti-Ransomware and Cyber Resilience Platform.

Lamb joins the team during a pivotal moment in the fight against ransomware, with 71% of global businesses feeling the impact of ransomware and 62.9% of victims paying the ransom in the past year. As Halcyon’s Chief Product Officer, Lamb will be responsible for scaling the product team and working closely with Halcyon’s clients to translate their needs into functional features that eliminate the impact of ransomware attacks.

“Our Cyber Resilience Platform is the only technology that can prevent and defeat ransomware,” said Jon Miller, CEO and Co-Founder of Halcyon. “Kris joins Halcyon with decades of product knowledge and leadership experience that will advance our platform to new heights. He will play an instrumental role in reaching our goal of making every organization cyber resilient. We are thrilled to have him on Halcyon’s leadership team.”

Lamb brings over 25 years of building and scaling market-leading and innovative information security businesses. Kris has held senior leadership roles across product, software development and delivery, and security research at some of the most successful security companies in their markets. Most recently, Lamb served as General Manager for Cloud Security at Forcepoint (Formerly Websense), founding Vice President of Engineering at Bastille Networks, and Chief Technology Officer and Head of Product and Engineering at Arbor Networks (now Netscout). As one of the earliest members of ISS X-Force (now IBM), Lamb led the organization responsible for security content development, security efficacy, and security research across all Internet Security Systems products and service lines.

“Ransomware remains a disruptive threat to critical business operations and infrastructure, underscoring the need to stop the threat at the source,” said Kris Lamb. “I am grateful to be working alongside dedicated cyber experts and continuing to develop the only resilience platform built from day-one to stop ransomware at every stage of the attack.”
