InsideTracker releases New VO2max Product Feature

The addition of VO2max, one of the most critical indicators of vitality, healthspan, and lifespan, reinforces InsideTracker’s continued emphasis on long-term health goals

InsideTracker, the leading personalized health analysis and data-driven wellness guide that helps people live healthier longer, today announces the addition of a new VO2max development to the product. Considering that a higher VO2max is a powerful indicator of health and vitality both in the immediate term and later in life, the product’s key features will help members distinguish their ideal VO2max, identify trends and patterns in their data, reveal how metrics influence other physio markers, and provide personalized, science-backed recommendations to improve levels.

VO2max reflects the maximum amount of oxygen used during aerobic exercise and is commonly considered a marker of endurance performance, but is also associated with improved function across other longevity indicators like heart and lung health, inflammation, and susceptibility to early death and disease. While recommendations differ for each individual, an optimal VO2max is associated with habits like aerobic exercise, strength training, HIIT workouts, and sufficient sleep.

“Investing in InsideTracker is like investing in a 401K,” said Dr. Gil Blander, PhD, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at InsideTracker. “You invest in your health now to see results in your retirement years. VO2max plays a crucial role in guiding our users to make the right choices for their health today, so they can reach their full potential in their 80s and 90s. Our data has shown that a healthy VO2max is associated with improvements in more than half of the biomarkers that our platform analyzes, making it vital for us to provide our members with increased education about not only where they stand currently, but what habits they can implement to improve vital health systems like heart health, inflammation, and endurance.”

InsideTracker data has shown that higher VO2max levels have been positively correlated with at least 32 of the 49 total blood biomarkers that the platform measures, including favorable hsCRP, triglycerides, glucose, and APOB levels. Members who have optimized their VO2max are also more likely to have a lower biological age, indicating slower aging cells.

In order to take advantage of the product feature, InsideTracker members will be able to connect wearable devices that measure VO2max estimates to their account. Subsequently, they’ll receive personalized feedback from the platform’s proprietary AI capabilities, including guidance about where their ideal numbers should fall, any trends that emerge over time, lifestyle factors influencing their VO2max, and clear, actionable recommendations for improvement they can act on immediately integrated directly into the app.
