Kami Vision’s Fall Management Sol Wins Tech Partner of the Year Award

Kami Vision

KamiCare Recognized for Technology Excellence to Enable the Safest Senior Living Communities Nationwide

Kami Vision, the computer vision company that provides artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to enterprise, SMB and consumers, was recognized with the Silver McKnight’s Tech Partner of the Year award, just three months after the launch of KamiCare, its AI-based fall management solution. McKnight’s honors excellence in innovation and helpful technology that serves the skilled care, senior living or home care sectors. The award is a notable achievement for KamiCare as the solution has been gaining rapid adoption among senior living and long-term care communities.

KamiCare increases well-being, safety and peace of mind for senior living communities, their residents and residents’ families. Edge-based vision AI technology and a team of qualified experts can identify and confirm falls within 90 seconds with 99.9% accuracy, empowering caregivers to act quickly and arming them with the knowledge of how to prevent future falls, ultimately reducing future risk as much as 60%.

“We’ve quickly seen the impact of KamiCare, hearing countless stories of how it has identified seniors who have fallen and alerted care teams immediately to provide assistance,” said Yamin Durrani, CEO of Kami Vision. “This alone fuels our mission, but the recognition by McKnight’s – a leading authority in this industry – as the Silver Tech Partner of the Year is a huge boost and reaffirms our commitment to the senior living industry and to keeping our aging population safe.”

KamiCare’s win was based on a series of qualifications, including the quality of services, innovation, connection between staff members and residents and simplicity. KamiCare’s algorithms run directly on its easy-to-install and non-invasive AI sensors. The AI sensors identify up to 30 points on the body and detect postures that indicate if a person falls. Upon Kami’s human confirmation, an alert is immediately sent to the designated caregiver(s) via phone call, SMS or email for the appropriate course of action. The data is encrypted, blurred and protected to ensure privacy for residents.

Senior living communities have low up-front costs, with no server or network installation required, and maintenance is minimal. Kami Vision’s technology is also compatible with existing infrastructure; no batteries, ethernet wiring or wearable devices required.
