Healthcare technology leader to unveil its specialty-specific technology at the AAAAI conference, delivering much-needed practice innovation dedicated specifically to allergists
ModMed® has developed an end-to-end software suite dedicated to the allergist community and is introducing it at this year’s AAAAI Annual Meeting. In line with its approach to develop bespoke technology for specialists, the healthcare technology leader has launched ModMed Allergy, Asthma and Immunology that offers seamless integration between the front office, clinical and back-office operations including integration with compliant immunotherapy software such as Xtract Solutions, Allergy Edge and others.
Over the years ModMed has embedded allergy-related workflows in its solutions for dermatologists, ENTs and gastroenterologists — all of whom may treat allergy-specific conditions — and increasingly saw more allergists using these solutions.
“We found that allergists felt they had nowhere to turn because the market lacked innovative technology designed specifically for allergists, and we wanted to change that,” said Dr. David Lehman, Senior Medical Director of Otolaryngology & Allergy at ModMed. “Our customers are always at the center of what we do, and it was a natural evolution to bring them into the R&D process from the beginning.”
Initial beta user Dr. Alan Gorenberg from Allergy & Asthma Care Center commented: “I see 5X more new patients per month than I could previously. I never have to work on charts after hours and can watch TV or walk the dog after work like normal people do. The company is phenomenally responsive to requests for improvements and tweaks.”
”Many allergy practices are experiencing similar pressures — staff burnout is increasingly leading to staff turnover which in turn can have an impact on the practice performance and the patient experience,” said Gayathri Narayan, General Manager of ENT & Allergy at ModMed. “We see an opportunity to make a big difference with allergists by bringing in our modern and intuitive solutions that can accelerate clinical workflows and practice efficiency and ease the strain on staff.”
ModMed Allergy, Asthma and Immunology has been designed with allergy-specific modules and workflows that are critical to allergists including: skin testing, patch testing, immunotherapy injections, counseling, biologic medication ordering and administration, in-office nebulizers, oral and inhalation challenges, asthma management plans, IVIG administration and more.
ModMed will be at booth #1350 during exhibit hours on February 25-28, 2021 where the team will demo its solutions. To set up a time for a demo, please visit modmed.com/aaaai.
