Orca Security recognized on the First-Ever CRN AI 100 List

Orca Security, the pioneer of agentless cloud security, announced today that it has been recognized by CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, on the inaugural 2024 AI 100 list in the AI For Cybersecurity category.

This list spotlights vendors at the forefront of the artificial intelligence revolution with offerings in areas such as cloud, data center and edge, software, analytics, and cybersecurity. The commitment to innovation leadership among the 2024 AI 100 honorees empowers the IT channel to build out their own ground-breaking AI tech stacks as well as create the cutting-edge AI-based solutions customers need.

CRN is launching the AI 100 list at a critical time in the IT market as solution providers are now making the critical investments in their AI portfolios that will drive unprecedented opportunities growth in 2024 and beyond.

Selected by a panel of CRN editors, vendors on the AI 100 list are recognized for the strength of their AI portfolios, commitment to innovation, and ability to support IT channel partners as they bring AI solutions to life.

With a culture that places continuous innovation at its core, Orca Security has been leading the way in leveraging generative AI to accelerate and strengthen cloud security for its customers. Orca was the first cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) to integrate ChatGPT, using it to generate detailed remediation steps and code to enable remediation of vulnerabilities, and give users the ability to ask follow-up questions so they can fix problems as fast and accurately as possible. Since then, Orca has also integrated other large language models (LLMs) into the platform, including Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Vertex AI to give organizations the ability to utilize the generative AI platform that best fits their needs.

Orca was also the first cloud security provider to offer AI-driven cloud asset search. This innovation has helped to democratize cloud security by making it easier and faster for anyone – from security practitioners to developers, compliance teams and others – to understand their cloud environment and risk to exposure, by simply asking a question in natural language.

Most recently, Orca introduced AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM) features to strengthen security for organizations that are implementing AI to revolutionize aspects of their business. All AI models rely on training data, which often includes sensitive material and intellectual property. Furthermore, that data often resides in the cloud, creating potentially lucrative targets for attackers that are susceptible to accidental public access, lack of encryption, unsecured keys, and general limited visibility for security teams. With its agentless platform, Orca scans new AI resources as soon as they are brought online (including any shadow AI), giving organizations complete and continuous visibility into potential risks.

“It’s a true honor to be recognized on CRN’s inaugural AI 100 list,” said Gil Geron, CEO and Co-founder, Orca Security. “Orca has been a frontrunner in generative AI innovation to simplify investigations and accelerate cloud security remediation for our customers. In addition to offering AI-powered cloud security, we are also helping organizations improve their own products and services using AI, and do so securely, with our new AI Security capabilities. By providing full visibility and alerting to misconfigurations and other risks in AI packages and models, we are enabling our customers to implement AI solutions with high velocity without incurring undue risk.”

“We are thrilled to honor the technology vendors on the 2024 AI 100 list for their commitment to advancing artificial intelligence solutions in the IT channel,” said Jennifer Follett, VP, U.S. Content, and Executive Editor, CRN at The Channel Company. “Each company on the list earned their spot because of their dedication to helping channel partners build innovative AI solutions that transform customers and empower success. We look forward to seeing how they contribute to AI excellence in the channel going forward.”

The 2024 CRN AI 100 list will be featured in the April issue of CRN Magazine and online at www.CRN.com/AI100 beginning April 8, 2024.
