PointClickCare Becomes First LTPAC-Focused Member to Join CHAI

Leading healthcare technology vendor reinforces its commitment to creating a more connected and transparent healthcare ecosystem for providers nationwide

PointClickCare, a leading healthcare technology platform enabling meaningful care collaboration and real-time patient insights, announced its membership in the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) today, becoming the first member with a specific focus on Long-Term and Post-Acute Care (LTPAC) to join the CHAI network. This strategic move underscores PointClickCare’s commitment to the principles of trust, transparency, and collaboration that guides the company as it enhances interoperability across the healthcare continuum.

As a recognized leader in the LTPAC space, PointClickCare serves more than 27,000 LTPAC providers, 3,600 ambulatory clinics, 2,800 hospitals, 350 risk-bearing providers, 70 state and government agencies, and every major U.S. health plan, and sits at the nexus of acute and post-acute care. By joining CHAI, PointClickCare will leverage its extensive network and innovative AI solutions to enhance care coordination, improve patient outcomes, and reduce costs associated with fragmented care. The company’s vast senior care data repository, including more than 20 million unique patient records, fuels powerful AI models that predict patient risks and uncover patterns, enabling care providers to make more informed decisions, facilitate early interventions, reduce care variations, and improve overall care quality.

“Joining CHAI represents a significant step forward in our mission to empower healthcare providers with the tools they need to deliver high-quality care,” said Dave Wessinger, chief executive officer and co-founder at PointClickCare. “Through this collaboration, we are excited to work alongside other industry leaders to pioneer safety and trust in AI and drive meaningful change in the healthcare landscape.”

CHAI is dedicated to fostering collaboration among healthcare organizations to create a more integrated system of care, bringing together leaders and experts from health systems, patient advocates, researchers, professional associations, start-ups, and established technology providers. CHAI’s diverse working groups focus on critical aspects of AI, including privacy, security, fairness, transparency, usefulness, and safety. With PointClickCare’s advanced technology and leading LTPAC platform, its participation in CHAI will enhance efforts to streamline patient data access and improve care transitions.

“PointClickCare’s commitment to interoperability aligns well with CHAI’s goals of building broad consensus across the health ecosystem to ensure AI is trusted, safe, and effective,” said Brian Anderson, MD, president and chief executive officer at CHAI. “We welcome PointClickCare into our growing coalition and look forward to their contributions in advancing patient care through healthcare collaboration.”

This partnership comes on the heels of PointClickCare’s recent initiatives aimed at advancing interoperability, including its expanded partnership with Kno2 and participation in the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA). In joining CHAI, PointClickCare reinforces its dedication to creating a connected healthcare ecosystem that prioritizes patient-centered care.
