Rootstock Software to host “Artificial Intelligence in ERP” webinar

Rootstock-hosted panel will provide manufacturing professionals with a roadmap to navigate AI and achieve real value

Rootstock Software, a recognized leader in the Manufacturing Cloud ERP space, is hosting the “Artificial Intelligence in ERP” webinar through IndustryWeek on Aug. 24, 2:00 pm ET. This online panel will provide manufacturers with guidance on the rapidly evolving world of AI and feature in-depth insights from key industry experts.

“In this roundtable, we’ll dig into the different types of AI capabilities available and discuss which ones are providing the greatest value,” said Raj Badarinath, Chief Product & Marketing Officer at Rootstock Software and moderator of the webinar. “AI has the potential to help manufacturers move the needle in terms of workforce productivity, operational efficiency, and decision-making. But to achieve these benefits, manufacturers are looking for a ‘decisioning platform’ fed by real-time data streams coming in from their comprehensive signal chain. This would give them the improved infrastructure to forecast demand, supply, and production capacity.”

Andrew Russo, Salesforce Architect at BACA Systems, and a participant of the panel will offer his perspective on the intersection of AI and manufacturing: “Today, AI vendors are making big promises, and manufacturers want to know what they can reasonably achieve in the next six to twelve months. They need to know what AI tools offer value—not gimmicks—so these applications must provide time and cost savings. Our panel discussion will break through the flashy AI claims and reveal practical applications.”

Russo emphasizes the importance of being selective: “Right now, generative AI is cool and cutting edge, but we have to look at tools with a healthy dose of skepticism. AI may promise automated generation, but the industry may already be well served with templates and automated field fill-in capabilities for specific areas. We’ll talk through the applications that do and don’t make sense, especially considering the costs and disruption involved.”

Badarinath and Russo will be joined by a third industry expert. All panelists will share their unique industry and technology perspectives on AI, and manufacturers will walk away with a better understanding of the tangible results that are achievable.
