Saviynt Appoints Tim Mooney as Executive Advisor

The Identity Authority adds strategic advisor to enhance customer onboarding and implementation

Saviynt, a leading provider of cloud-native identity governance solutions, today announced it has appointed Tim Mooney as Executive Advisor. As a former Saviynt customer with more than 40 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, Mooney will play a key role in guiding prospects and customers on their identity transformation journey including the successful onboarding and implementation of Saviynt’s Identity Cloud.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tim to our team. His unique perspective as both a Saviynt customer and a leader in highly regulated environments will provide valuable insights to our clients and aligns with our mission to help enterprises deploy secure, scalable identity governance programs,” said Paul Zolfaghari, president at Saviynt.

Mooney’s expertise in identity governance and cybersecurity has enabled him to deliver solutions that drive efficiency and compliance. At VMware, he built the company’s identity program from the ground up, selecting Saviynt as the only SaaS-based platform capable of securing more than 60M identities. He led automation initiatives for more than 550 applications, overseeing the vision, strategy, and execution of identity access management (IAM) workflows and technical solutions. Throughout his nearly 30 years at Visa, Mooney played an instrumental role in the company’s identity management efforts, helping the company to achieve PCI compliance and also centralizing B2B enterprise and B2C teams to accelerate architectural decision-making.

As Saviynt scales and onboards more clients, Mooney’s appointment is a strategic move to ensure successful implementations built on a solid foundation.

“Having implemented identity governance solutions many times throughout my career, I know the importance of laying the right foundation from the start. The onboarding process is inherently challenging but also presents a significant opportunity to eliminate outdated practices and sanitize data before integrating it into IGA platforms,” added Mooney. “I am excited to help clients become self-reliant in the transition from legacy systems to the cloud by establishing a customized foundation focused on proactive controls, allowing for continuous monitoring and alerts for any breaches.”
