KELA, ULTRA RED and SLING build resilience against cyber threats with industry-leading prioritization, triaging and proactive defenses
KELA, a global leader in cyber threat and exposure intelligence solutions, today announced that Sysmex, a trusted global leader in healthcare solutions, has selected the KELA Group as its primary provider of external threat exposure management solutions. In addition to KELA’s leading threat intelligence platform, Sysmex has implemented the full KELA Group suite, including ULTRA RED for Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) and SLING for Third-Party Cyber Risk Management, to bolster its cybersecurity capabilities. KELA’s solutions help Sysmex enhance its global cybersecurity operations, building resilience against cyber threats.
“Recognizing the importance of proactive cyber defense, we have always prioritized robust threat intelligence and threat exposure management,” said Sysmex-CSIRT team leader Seita Ijiri. “With KELA’s solutions, we now have a more streamlined and efficient approach to monitoring and mitigating risks.”
Strengthening Cybersecurity with KELA Group
KELA Cyber’s threat intelligence platform allows Sysmex to identify, analyze, and respond to cyber threats more efficiently. The system provides real-time visibility into cyber risks, displaying discovered vulnerabilities and prioritizing them based on urgency. This enables Sysmex-CSIRT to implement countermeasures swiftly, first addressing the most critical threats.
ULTRA RED evaluates security risks across Sysmex’s IT assets, including those not previously identified by Sysmex-CSIRT. When vulnerabilities are detected, the system issues alert notifications and urgency scores, allowing the team to take immediate action.
Sysmex leverages SLING to provide critical third-party risk management, ensuring that Sysmex’s external vendors and partners adhere to stringent cybersecurity standards.
KELA Implementation Drives Immediate Impact
Since adopting KELA’s cybersecurity solutions, Sysmex has reported significant improvements:
- Real-Time Threat Monitoring: With KELA’s threat intelligence dashboard, Sysmex-CSIRT members can swiftly identify and address risks.
- Reduced Manual Effort: Compared to previous threat intelligence services, KELA’s user-friendly interface provides clear, actionable insights, reducing the time spent sorting through large volumes of data.
- Rapid Incident Response: After implementing KELA, Sysmex detected and mitigated a leak of account information in Japan, swiftly notifying relevant departments and implementing corrective actions such as password resets and account disabling.
- Comprehensive Attack Intelligence: KELA delivers regular reports detailing attacker tactics and prevalent cyber threats, enabling Sysmex to refine its security measures and fortify its defenses.
- Greater Visibility: When ULTRA RED detects a problem, an alert is sent and a score indicating the urgency is given, so that issues with higher urgency can be addressed first.
“We rely on KELA’s intelligence to stay ahead of evolving attack trends and techniques,” added Ijiri. “By leveraging this intelligence, our team can not only better prioritize and triage security incidents, but we can improve our proactive defenses and security posture.”
