Trellix Partners with HACE to Boost Cybersecurity Workforce

Trellix

Trellix, the cybersecurity company delivering the future of extended detection and response (XDR), today announced a partnership with the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) to launch a comprehensive mentorship and educational program.

“The facts show cybersecurity is a desert for diversity,” said Michael Alicea, CHRO at Trellix. “Our mission is to power a resilient, thriving world and this cannot be done in siloes. Partnering with organizations like HACE is just the beginning of investments we plan to make to expand and enrich the cybersecurity workforce.”

Recent research from Trellix found a large majority of cybersecurity professionals (91%) believe there needs to be wider efforts to grow the cybersecurity talent pool from diverse groups.

HACE-Trellix Cybersecurity Accelerator Program

Through the HACE-Trellix Cybersecurity Accelerator, the program will expand opportunities for Latinos in the cybersecurity industry. HACE will source candidates from its network of 85,000 members and provide soft skills training while Trellix creates curriculum and provides cybersecurity education. Participants who complete the program will be placed in full-time roles at Trellix.

With a nation-wide network, HACE works with employers to remain competitive by helping to recruit, develop, and retain Latino and diverse professionals. HACE also supports its members in every phase of their career, from students to experienced professionals.

“Amid the Great Resignation and the Great Reevaluation, employers need to lead with purpose,” said Patricia Mota, President & CEO at HACE. “Through the HACE-Trellix Cybersecurity Accelerator program we will not only be able to outfit our members with mentoring and vital skilling opportunities, but also introduce our broader network to the field of cybersecurity.”

The HACE-Trellix Cybersecurity Accelerator was announced today during Trellix CEO Bryan Palma’s keynote, “Soulless to Soulful: Security’s Chance to Save Tech,” at the RSA® Conference.
