Obsidian Announces Magma Partner Program for Resellers and SaaS SSPs

Obsidian, the cloud detection and response company, today announced the new Magma Partner Program, which enables partners to deliver industry-leading security for SaaS applications while growing their business. The Magma program is designed to drive profitability and predictability by prioritizing the channel for resale, services, and support. Partners will benefit from competitive margins, enhanced service offerings, and increased customer demand fueled by strategic marketing.

The new program is led by Claudia Slane, the global director of channels and alliances at Obsidian. Slane brings over 14 years of experience as a channel leader in sales and partner management in cybersecurity and cloud at companies such as Forescout and McAfee. Slane was awarded CRN’s Emerging Women in the Channel earlier this year.

“As organizations move critical business systems to SaaS applications, security teams have an imperative to protect users and data in the cloud without slowing down the business,” said Claudia Slane, global director of channels and alliances at Obsidian. “Obsidian cloud detection and response is the only company to provide continuous monitoring and data-driven analytics necessary to detect and respond to threats in SaaS applications. We are committed to driving all sales through the channel and working with our strategic partners to make them successful.”

SaaS and the digital transformation has changed the nature of work and driven business agility. Obsidian enables organizations to safely advance their missions in the cloud. For the first time, security teams have the consolidated visibility and monitoring they need to defend their SaaS applications from risks, threats, and breaches. With Obsidian, security teams can enable their businesses to move quickly in the cloud and focus on their core mission.

“Security of business-critical SaaS applications is a top priority for our customers as they invest in digital transformation,” said Shaq Khan, CEO of Fortifire. “Obsidian cloud detection and response provides the unified visibility and continuous monitoring that security teams need to protect their SaaS applications. Obsidian is 100 percent committed to the channel and has built an attractive program for partners to be successful. We look forward to working together to help organizations establish enterprise security in their cloud environments.“

The Magma program offers resellers the opportunity to benefit from sales and marketing tools to successfully sell Obsidian’s cutting-edge SaaS security solution. Managed security service providers (MSSP) and incident response firms can also use Obsidian’s powerful solution to expand their service offerings for SaaS security. The Obsidian solution is delivered as SaaS and can be deployed in minutes, which shortens sales cycles and allows partners to quickly demonstrate value. With powerful alerts out of the box and customizable threat detections, partners can address the SaaS security needs of all customers.

Organizations around the world rely on Obsidian to protect their business users and data in SaaS applications. In recognition of Obsidian’s vision and transformative technology, the company was selected as a finalist amongst hundreds of startups in the Innovation Sandbox contest at the RSA Conference 2020. Obsidian was also recently named to the CRN® 2020 Emerging Security Vendors list, which identifies up-and-coming security solution providers that are shaping the future through technological innovation. In addition to celebrating standout companies, the Emerging Security Vendors list serves as a valuable resource for solution providers looking to expand their portfolios with cutting-edge technology.
