GoSecure Appoints Industry Veteran Tom Wallace to Lead Engineering

Security industry engineering veteran joins GoSecure to accelerate product development

GoSecure, a leading provider of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services, today announced the hiring of Tom Wallace as Senior Vice President Engineering. Mr. Wallace is responsible for day-to-day operations of the GoSecure engineering team, managing the GoSecure delivery infrastructure and enhancing the architecture behind the entire GoSecure portfolio.

GoSecure Chief Operating Officer Rick Miller said, “I have known Tom for over 20 years, working with him for much of that time. There is no more experienced cybersecurity engineering leader and to have him join GoSecure is an amazing win for us.”

Prior to joining GoSecure, Mr. Wallace spent twenty-four years at IBM, most recently as the Global Engineering lead and CIO of the Managed Security Services business. His wide-ranging accomplishments include building the industry’s first 24×7 Managed Security Services Provider Security Operations Center as well as scaling an engineering team from six to 200 people across four continents. It’s this industry experience that Mr. Wallace credits with his enthusiasm at joining GoSecure.

“I love building things, and GoSecure has all the pieces to be a very powerful play in the threat detection and response market,” stated Mr. Wallace. “From owning their technology to having a highly experienced delivery team, GoSecure is poised for rapid growth and I want to be a part of that journey. When Rick mentioned the opportunity to lead engineering, and help build a truly differentiated portfolio, I jumped at the chance.”

“GoSecure is experiencing hyper-growth and engineering is at the core of maintaining the momentum,” continued Mr. Miller. “Having Tom lead engineering will truly accelerate our development cycle, allowing us to quickly execute on numerous upcoming product innovations.”
