Amy Appleyard of LastPass named on CRN 2024 Women of the Channel List

LastPass, a leader in password and identity management solutions, announced today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Amy Appleyard, chief revenue officer, to the Women of the Channel list for 2024.

Every year, CRN highlights women from vendor, distributor, and solution provider organizations whose vision and leadership have a beneficial influence on the technology industry. The CRN 2024 Women of the Channel honorees are creative, strategic leaders who show ongoing commitment to using their skills to innovate and drive success for their partners and customers.

With this recognition, CRN honors these women leaders for their unwavering dedication and commitment to furthering channel excellence.

As a cybersecurity and sales veteran with over 15 years of experience driving high-growth sales organizations, Appleyard brings a wealth of knowledge to her role along with a passionate advocacy for diversity across sales and leadership teams. At LastPass, Amy drives key priorities across revenue-related functions, oversees the overall customer journey, and supports global sales performance. She has played a key role in the launch of LastPass’ channel program, having fostered the program, making key hires, overseeing the roll out of a new partner portal and program, and evangelized selling through partners internally. As a result, LastPass’ channel business grew triple digits in 2023, and is well-positioned for continued growth going forward.

Before joining LastPass, Appleyard held key roles in several cybersecurity companies, including most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Global Sales for Malwarebytes and Vice President of Sales for the Commercial division of VMware Carbon Black.

“It is a great privilege to honor the remarkable achievements of these women leaders in the IT channel,” said Jennifer Follett, VP, U.S. Content and Executive Editor, CRN at The Channel Company. “Each woman on the list has demonstrated a deep commitment to innovation and leadership that advances their organizations and drives transformation and success across the IT channel.”

“I am honored to be included in the company of such a dynamic group of channel leaders. Delivering cybersecurity solutions requires value-added partnerships that provide the expertise, options and innovation customers need to address their unique businesses, functions and cyber risk profiles,” said Appleyard. “LastPass continues to invest in its people, technology and partnerships so that we can better address our current and future customers’ unique and changing needs.”

CRN’s 2024 Women of the Channel also recognizes LastPass’ Vice President of Global Channels and Alliances, Jessica Couto, for her accomplishments as Vice President of North American channels at her prior company, Imperva. Couto joined the LastPass team in January 2024, bringing more than two decades of channel sales leadership to a LastPass organization committed to building a robust, growing channel partner ecosystem.

“Building LastPass into a world-class channel partner has been a critical component of transitioning the organization from a product line within a broader portfolio company to a stand-alone, fully dedicated provider of industry-leading password and identity management solutions,” said Couto. “To that end, LastPass has assembled a management team with decades of combined cybersecurity and channel sales experience and success. We believe that this leadership team, together with significant investments in enterprise infrastructure, product integrity and innovation, and proven security, privacy and engineering teams, have positioned LastPass for continued channel growth in the months and years to come.”

The 2024 Women of the Channel list will be featured in the June issue of CRN Magazine, with online coverage starting May 13 at www.CRN.com/WOTC.
