CrowdStrike Wins Best Cloud Computing Security Solution +2 Awards

Security Cloud leader’s Chief Security Officer and President of CrowdStrike Services, Shawn Henry, takes home inaugural executive award

CrowdStrike, a leader in cloud-delivered endpoint and workload protection, today announced it was recognized as a recipient of the 2021 SC Awards in three categories: Best Cloud Computing Security Solution, Best Managed Security Service and the inaugural Security Executive of the Year award for Shawn Henry, president of CrowdStrike Services and chief security officer.

Now in its 25th year, the SC Awards are considered the industry gold standard of accomplishment for cybersecurity professionals, products and services. The awards celebrate the achievements of companies and information security professionals that the organization recognizes as the best in the industry for protecting today’s corporate world from an array of risks and threats. The award winners were chosen by an expert panel of judges with extensive knowledge and experience in the cybersecurity industry.

“We are honored to receive such prominent awards for our achievements in cloud security and managed security services by a program as esteemed as the SC Awards. This speaks to our vision of offering customers the most powerful combination of technology and services on the market,” said Marianne Budnik, chief marketing officer of CrowdStrike. “Additionally, there’s no security leader more deserving of the inaugural executive of the year award than Shawn Henry. Shawn has been instrumental in modernizing cybersecurity practices and resiliency for both the public and private sectors for well over 30 years, gaining the support, commitment and comradery from peers, colleagues and customers all over the world. We applaud Shawn on this achievement.”

Recognized as the Best Cloud Computing Solution for 2021, the cloud-native CrowdStrike Falcon® platform was designed to overcome the limitations of legacy security solutions, with the ability to scale to meet the needs of businesses, whether they have 10 workloads or a million workloads to secure. Falcon predicts and prevents modern threats in real time through its industry-leading set of endpoint and cloud workload telemetry, threat intelligence and AI-powered analytics. The unique benefits of its single-agent architecture include immediate time-to-value, better performance, reduced cost and complexity and better protection for on-premises and multi-cloud environments.

Leveraging the Falcon platform, Falcon Complete, CrowdStrike’s leading managed detection and response (MDR) solution, combines the platform’s endpoint protection technology, actionable intelligence and skilled expertise to deliver comprehensive security and reduce risk. A key component to CrowdStrike’s MDR approach is its industry-leading threat hunting team, CrowdStrike Falcon Overwatch, delivering around-the-clock expertise, including managed hunting to uncover even the most sophisticated threats, while simplifying SOC operations and day-to-day security management.

“Thanks to CrowdStrike, we know exactly what we’re dealing with, which is a visibility I never had before. That gives me a good deal of comfort,” said Rob Thomas Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team chief operating officer.

“By analyzing the millions of data points generated by a vast and diverse customer base, often in real time, CrowdStrike is able to provide our team with a comprehensive and clear picture of exactly what is happening across the globe, 24/7. That’s an essential ingredient in protecting us from issues long before they become a problem,” said Michael Taylor, IT director at the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

This year, CrowdStrike was positioned by Gartner as the security vendor placed furthest for Completeness of Vision and a Leader in the 2021 Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP).
