Iron Bow’s John McGloughlin named to 2023 NVTC Cyber50

Iron Bow Technologies, the next generation technology solutions provider to government, commercial, and healthcare markets, today announced that John McGloughlin, VP of Cybersecurity for Iron Bow and Founder of GuardSight, has been recognized by the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) as one of its 2023 Cyber50 Executives.

The NVTC Cyber50 program recognizes the cyber companies and professionals who are driving innovation, pushing the boundaries in launching new cyber solutions, and contributing to the region’s ongoing stature as a premier cybersecurity hub. This year’s Cyber50 list includes 27 companies and government contractors and 23 professionals who exhibit the dedication, innovation, and ability to advance cybersecurity technology and anticipate the threat of future cybercrimes.

“This is a well-deserved honor for John and a testament to his passion and proven track record for promoting stronger, more resilient cybersecurity solutions for our customers,” said Rene LaVigne, President and CEO of Iron Bow Technologies. “John and the GuardSight team are the best at what they do, and we are so proud to be able to offer our community the benefit of their experience and expertise.”

“It’s an honor to be recognized by NVTC as one of its Cyber50 Executives,” said John McGloughlin, VP of Cybersecurity for Iron Bow and Founder of GuardSight. “I’m immensely proud of the work we have done at GuardSight and what we’re doing now with Iron Bow to evolve existing cybersecurity architectures and ensure that our customers are in the strongest cyber defense posture possible. I look forward to building on the success we’ve experienced so far as part of the Iron Bow team.”

John McGloughlin founded GuardSight in 2009 to offer comprehensive cybersecurity operations, assessments, and response services that protect the critical assets and operations of customers ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. In January 2023, the company was acquired by Iron Bow Technologies to enhance the company’s existing cybersecurity solutions portfolio, combining its public-sector cybersecurity engineering capabilities with GuardSight’s private-sector SECOPS and MDR capabilities. Together, GuardSight and Iron Bow provide a holistic cybersecurity offering that enables government agencies, private enterprises, and organizations to modernize their cybersecurity architecture while supporting them on the path to zero trust with a comprehensive set of managed services.
