Jason Floyd is the Senior Managing Director and Chief Information Officer of Cybersecurity at Ascent. Jason is principally responsible for building the firm’s cyber security solutions and offerings, including cyber product development, cybersecurity managed services, and cyber consulting services. Jason also leads the cyber architecture and security sales support for Ascent’s strategic cybersecurity accounts.
Prior to joining Ascent in 2017, Jason served 10 years of Active Duty in the US Marine Corps - most recently as the Cyber Division Head of Marine Aviation and Weapons and Tactics Squadron - 1, the Marine Weapons school. Here, Jason taught cyber warfare to future Weapons and Tactics Instructors and helped the United States Marine Corps and Marine Aviation integrate cyber warfare into the Aviation Command Element. Jason’s military background and enterprise consulting experience come together in a unique blend of highly technical security acumen with a business-centric approach. He is a proven Microsoft services partner and EMS architect for multiple, highly regulated industries including government, financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing.
Jason is currently a Major in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, serving as Operations Officer of Marine Wing Communications Squadron 48 out of Naval Station Great Lakes, Chicago, Illinois. Jason holds his Certified Information Systems Security Professional and a Master of Science in Security Technologies from the University of Minnesota.
